NC State faculty are not only leaders in the classroom and on the campus, but also in their fields as recognized by academic peers. Collectively, NC State faculty have earned more than 85 National Science Foundation career and presidential awards in the past 10 years. Eighteen faculty are members of the National Academies; the university ranks fourth among 16 peers in the NSF CAREER faculty awards over the past four years.

A dedicated staff of close to 6,000 keeps NC State University functioning—and thriving—as a nationally recognized university.
